Aesthetic Tourism

A form of tourism primarily oriented toward experiencing a culture's visual and sensory aesthetics — the food photography, the architecture, the scenery — rather than toward the people, history, or social complexity of the culture. Often aestheticises precisely the elements of a culture that have the most complex human stories underneath them.
