Composed of iki (life, alive) and gai (worth, benefit). A felt sense of what makes life worth living. Not a career framework. Not a four-circle diagram. In Japanese cultural usage, typically modest in scale — a garden, a morning ritual, a relationship with a grandchild. The version that went viral in Western self-help is a misattribution.
